Orga Versus Mecha

One of the most interesting sub-themes that stood out for me while watching Steven Spielberg's Artificial Intelligence: AI this evening was the Flesh Fair, an orgy of violence in which humans ("orga") reassert their primacy by ritualistically slaughtering the robots ("mecha") that serve them.

Why do I find this so poignant? Because the Flesh Fair's technological bodies, asymmetric "competition", and ritual bloodthirst — located at the intersection between Roman gladiators being thrown to the lions and a Survival Research Laboratories performance piece — are one tetradic reversal beyond the spectacle of World Wrestling Entertainment.
