Media technology has changed the way people communicate. Written letters used to be the only way to communicate with people who lived far away. The invention of the telephone decreased reliability on letters, and now the invention of the internet and email has decreased our reliability on the telephone. Technology is constantly coming up with new and more "efficient" ways of communication. What will happen if there is a power shortage? Will people be able to turn back to older methods of communication?
